Custom photography is an investment in your families memories and history. From planning a session just for you to the way each image is chosen and edited, I am proud to provide you with beautiful, memorable portraits. It doesn’t end there, heirloom quality luxury albums, fine art prints, coffee table image boxes and museum grade canvases are available for clients to purchase after the session if desired.

Booking
Once you’ve checked out my website and blog and decided you might like to book a session with me please contact me via e-mail (info@kirstymckayphotography.com) or use the Contact Form on my website. I’d love to hear about your family and am happy to answer any questions you might have. We’ll then pick out a session date. To confirm your booking I will send you the link to my online Booking Agreement to sign and an invoice to pay your 50% deposit (bank deposit or credit cards accepted) as well as the link to our client Welcome Guide. Please read all the information provided and contact me if you have any questions. Your session date will be confirmed via e-mail once your signed booking agreement and session deposit have been received.
Pre-Session Consultation
Prior to our pre-session consultation I will send you my online Portrait Questionnaire, these questions help me get to know your family better and are the starting point for planning our session. The pre-session consultation then takes place over the phone approximately two weeks before our session; if there is a lot of planning to do for our session an initial consultation may take place at the time of booking followed up by another consultation closer to our session date. During the phone consultation/s we will go over any questions you might have, discuss our location, prop and wardrobe options and get to know each other some more, which helps us to have a fun and relaxed session.
Your Photo Session
I ask that where possible clients arrive ten minutes before their session time. I like to take this time to get to know you all a little better and chat with the kids. These first moments without the camera around will help to calm any nerves you might feel about being photographed. Prepare for your session but when you get to our location, breathe, relax and try to let it all go! I am completely in the moment when I am photographing children and would love it if you are too! We will laugh and play with the children, take any breaks that are needed and have a wonderful time capturing some precious memories. Session day should be a memorable day for your family to relax and enjoy one another!
After the Session
After your session there is a two week turnaround while your images are edited and retouched. Once your images are ready I will e-mail you the link to your online gallery where you will be able to view and choose your images. Your chosen images are then delivered via digital download. An easy to use shopping cart is built into the gallery allowing you to purchase any of the beautiful a la carte prints and products of your choice from our professional print lab. While your gallery is live I am available to advise you on any of the products available to purchase and would love to suggest some great display ideas to you.
If your package includes a custom designed luxury coffee table album you will be able to preview the proposed layout online and make two changes to the final design before it is sent to print. Prints are delivered within 7-10 working days with albums, canvas, framed and matted prints delivered within 21 working days.
