Back in September I got to photograph two gorgeous pups at their owner’s property out West and on the nearby Bethells Beach. Alice and Zoe are both beautiful young Border Collies and are also sisters from the same litter! Pet photography is something that I don’t get to do too often but I jump at the chance when I get it. As a proud dog owner myself and a huge animal lover, I know that these images are every bit as important to their owners as other people’s pictures of their children are!
As we were planning their session, Alice and Zoe’s owners told me that the beach is one of their favourite places to go, their dogs love the water and racing around on the sand so we thought it would be a great spot for most of their shoot. Our session ended up being on an incredibly blustery Spring day at Bethells (you know the kind, where you end up with sand in your hair, ears and mouth!) but we got some great shots between the rain showers and of course the dogs didn’t mind the weather one little bit!
