Last week I captured this beautiful mama’s maternity portraits during one of the last really warm days of Autumn! I’ve been loving all my Autumn sessions so much and will be a tiny bit heartbroken when the leaves have all fallen in a couple of weeks time, however outdoor Winter sessions are pretty awesome too, my clients can layer up in cosy knits, scarves and boots, have lots of lovely family snuggles and even bring the kid’s gumboots and raincoats for some cool jumping in puddles shots!
This shoot however, has to be one of my Autumn favourites, a relaxed and beautiful mama, pretty afternoon light and some late Autumn leaves…I was one happy photographer! We were expecting to have some crazy wind and rain the day of our session but were incredibly lucky to have beautiful sunshine instead and were even able to end the session with a pretty epic sunset on what I now like to call ‘silhouette hill’! I can just picture the most epic family silhouette up there! Any takers?! 😉
This gorgeous mama is expecting her third child (and first girl!) and these were her very first maternity portraits – hard to believe as she looked like such a pro! I’m so happy to have been able to capture this special time in her life and for her family to have these special memories to look back on as the years go by.
