Spring is here again and I can’t believe I hadn’t blogged this sweet Cherry Blossom Cake Smash and Family Session from last October yet, it’s a good one!
Last Spring we waited patiently for the cherry blossom grove to bloom at the Auckland Botanic Gardens (by patiently I mean we stalked their website and called them a number of times!) then when we finally got the go-ahead to say the cherries were blooming and at their best, we braved the crowds and took some fun family portraits and celebrated wee Leo’s first birthday with a fun and messy Cake Smash! His clever Mum made the gorgeous cupcake for Leo to smash and did such an amazing job picking out colours and props, I was not at all surprised to find out she is the talent behind Little Cashew NZ and sells the most gorgeous prints, mobiles and baby products in her online store!
Leo is such a sweet and curious little boy and loved digging into his cake – the icing was a real hit! – he had us all in stiches with his expressions!! I really loved my time with the S Family, we had such a magical session and I hope to catch up with them again soon!
